The Improbables is a series of rooftop sculptures overlooking the iconic Bund River in the heart of Shanghai's busiest downtown districts. The title refers to the unexpected opportunity to create some temporary sculptures for film production in Shanghai.

I seized the opportunity to translate contemporary themes in my motion work into three-dimensional forms. We had great weather for the installation, as the city unfolded itself as a dramatic backdrop for the four pieces. Created digital models, it was thrilling to see these forms emerge from their digital origins into the physical space.
